EVAZION

ROADTRIP with children: why take the plunge?

Is the roadtrip only for solo adventurers? Only for young couples looking for space and freedom? Certainly not! There are many families on the road. And for good reason: while the extra logistics may be a hindrance, the stars in your children's eyes may become your best reason to travel. It's all about perspective.

LOOKING AT THE WORLD THROUGH CHILDREN'S EYES

Passing on to their children a taste for discovery, nourishing their curiosity and helping them to see the most beautiful things our world has to offer - isn't that the ambition of every parent? To make them understand that the planet is our home and that it is as much their responsibility as ours as adults to ensure that it is respected. And to hear with humility the lessons they have to teach us in this matter. This mission to preserve the land defended by EVAZION takes on its full meaning when travelling, in the face of the slow force of the tides, the light evening breeze, the power of the mountains erected, the most delicate of morning dews.

In these moments of shared contemplation with one's children, nothing seems more important than to offer them the privilege of enjoying this beauty for the rest of their lives, to pass on to them this ability to open their eyes to the spectacle that nature plays out every day. These moments also remind us of how capable children are of marvelling at everything and how delightful it is to be inspired by their spontaneity.

RIDE YOUR BIKE

Pack your loved ones into a van, hit the road and experience the incredible sense of grandeur that comes with getting away from your everyday life. They are there with you and the whole world is yours. Where are you going? Who cares? The purpose of your journey is fulfilled from the very first mile and its taste is incomparable: freedom.

Never tried a van adventure before? Remember. You were almost five years old and after a few falls you finally mastered the art of pedalling. Remember the wind in your face, the confidence in yourself and the feeling that you could travel the world. As if suddenly your geographical spectrum had opened up to a new dimension. Going on a van trip with your kids feels the same way.

THE WORLD IS MY HOME

How can you talk about travelling in a van without mentioning the people you meet? When the world becomes your home, nature your playground, the moment inevitably comes when you make friends. Those who explore the same regions, share the same hopes and desires for discovery. These encounters embellish the trip, make it unique and leave the most beautiful memories. When you share a spot, a story around the fire, a discovery you feel at home on this earth, wherever you are physically. To experience this as a family is not only to experience it for yourself but also vicariously. In between conversations, you take a moment to silently admire your children living their best life, sharing it with those who yesterday were strangers, today their best friends and tomorrow a sweet childhood memory.

Being a parent makes life more intense. Travelling with your children makes the journey more intense. It may not be a big secret that I'm revealing here, but it's the one that my mum's heart wanted to share with you at the memory of our last escapade.
