Road trip in Brittany, Travel diary

START

And here we are! After almost two months, we are again on the road for a third road trip of exploration in Brittany! In the van, we go back to the adventure with dad, Christophe, Laurie and me, Eva, 12 years old, now.

Departure at 9:30 pm, direction Le Faouët, the road promises to be long and our exploration road trip quite busy. But the weather forecast is sunny all week long in Brittany, I'm already looking forward to get there.

DAY ONE

After a long night journey, we arrive at the Chapelle Sainte-Barbe just in time because the sun is already coming out.

Change of landscape, we left our traditional waking up at the seaside to join the center of Finistère, but what is it that it is pretty! A superb spot EVAZION hides besides in the heart of these beautiful forests.

Today, no time to rest a few hours, we have several people to meet on the way, the appointments for EVAZION will follow one another.

But we do not forget to admire the beautiful landscapes which surround us. We take the time to stop at the Anse de Rospico. We find then our friend Sebastien (digital nomad) also in van to take our lunch on the beach of Pors Carn all together.

Once arrived on our spot of sleep, we take advantage of it to take an aperitif in front of the magnificent sunset which offers itself to us.

DAY TWO

After a good night's sleep on our first sleeping spot, the sun is still shining! Today, after a good breakfast with a beautiful view in front of the sea, we went to the Presqu'île de Crozon (Camaret-sur-Mer) in order to visit our friends EVAZION and to visit one last time the grounds before the departure of the first travelers.

We took advantage of our passage by Camaret-sur-Mer to spend our evening in the creperie " Chez Germaine ". We even ate our dessert before our supper: sweet pancakes to begin and salted pancakes to finish. That gives hunger to traverse Brittany of long and wide.

DAY THREE

Early wake up for a beautiful and busy day! First obligatory stop by the Fourn'Ile, our favorite bakery of the peninsula to take some pastries before taking the road.

Then direction Kerlouan, but on the road dad takes us to the discovery of a former Jurassic Park center, back on the tracks of dinosaurs.

On the way, we stop at the Petit Minou lighthouse and the Saint-Mathieu lighthouse. We then continue our ascent to the Pointe de Corsen, the most westerly point in France, which is why the sun sets later here and therefore rises earlier in the morning.

We end our day on the beach of Menez Ham (Kerlouan), where we joined our digital nomad friend. By the way, tonight's sleeping spot is the exact place where the EVAZION project was born, where daddy first thought of the project, the place we call my beach, Eva's beach.

DAY FOUR

This morning, we leave again the coast to join this time, the Monts d'Arrée. It is also today that we have to say goodbye to our digital nomad friend who continues his road towards the north in order to join Norway in a few weeks. Maybe one day, we will be able to find some nice EVAZION spots also in this beautiful region.

Total change of landscape when we arrived in the Monts d'Arrée, this region is known for its beautiful forests and ridges. We visited some very nice grounds right next to horses. We also met a French-German couple who invited us to lunch at their place before showing us their grounds and their beautiful region, Plougasnou. It is also with them that we discovered the Monts d'Arrée earlier in the morning.

And then, our day ended with the very first EVAZION traveler we met on one of our spots. We share our evening with him in front of a magnificent sunset in front of the Primel point.

DAY FIVE

Last day in Brittany, two last important visits of grounds before going back to Belgium! And the last spot we visited is exceptional in all points, the location, the view, the surroundings! A week rich in experiences, meetings and discoveries. Clap de fin of our third exploration road trip.
